The Phlebotomy Wedge is a simple yet innovative tool created to make blood collection safer, easier, and more comfortable for both patients and clinicians. Developed in New Zealand by practicing nurses, it’s built from hands-on clinical experience and a deep understanding of what works best at the bedside.
Dimensions: 300mm long × 250mm wide
Height: 95mm at high end, tapering to 5mm at low end
Eight tube slots (four per side), 20mm in diameter
High-density foam with antimicrobial coating
Smooth, water-resistant surface for easy cleaning
Please note: Due to the nature of the foam-cutting process, slight surface variations or manufacturing lines may be visible. These minor imperfections are normal and do not affect the function, safety, or durability of the product.
The Wedge
Procedure tray designed to safely organise and store blood collection tubes, needle hubs, collection needles, sharps containers, and other venepuncture supplies used during blood sampling procedures.
Manufactured from our high-density foam, the tray is liquid-resistant and stain-resistant, having been tested against both blood and betadine.

About us
With over 34 years of combined nursing experience, Katie and Gemma have developed a wealth of knowledge in general practice and patient care. During their work, they identified the need for a device that could better support patients’ arms during venepuncture procedures and infusions, while also providing a culturally respectful alternative to using pillows.
When no suitable option could be found, they set out to design and develop their own solution. The result was a simple yet effective device that quickly gained attention from colleagues and patients alike. As demand grew, Katie and Gemma recognised it was time to make their innovation available to others, helping healthcare providers deliver safe, comfortable, and culturally aware care.
